OMT RF Engineers select WiFi Systems to deliver WiFi signal in a variety of environments. The OMT RF Engineers look for the following features:
- 285 mW to 2,000 mW of power per radio (access point).
- Multi-channels, from 1 to 11 channels for multipath environments.
- Indoor and outdoor access points, outdoor units are NEMA approved for all weather conditions.
- Mesh design for multi-radio installs to enable wireless connectivity radio to radio.
- Radios/access points with Bandwidth from 54 to 100 Mb.
- Multi-frequency to include 2.4 – 5.x.
- Radios/access points with internal & external antennas.
- Radios/access points that offer a variety of mounting options.
- Radios with ranges of 1000+ meters depending on LOS, antennas & power.
- Antennas to fit every environment (indoor, outdoor, sector, omni, panel, etc.).
- Antennas with a variety of Polarization choices (60° X 60°, 70° X 30°, 90° X 15°, etc.).
- Security level to include open access or authentication required access.
- Multiple security levels to include 802.11i WPA2, 40 bit-104 bit WEP keys, 128 bit-256 bit AES keys, 802.1x RADIUS authentication, VPN tunneling & filtering, SSID suppression, Firewall, MAC access control, NAT and Rogue AP detection.
- Radios/access point with up to 16 SSIDs and more.
- Virtual AP grouping.
- Radio/access point Control Units for remote system diagnostics.

The OMT RF Engineering team evaluates every site prior to system configuration and recommendation.
The OMT IT Engineers provide custom portal pages, custom connection to the ISP, point to point connectivity, website development and more. The OMT IT department also works in concert with our RF team to identify WiFi bandwidth needs as relates to ISP delivered bandwidth and/or network allocated bandwidth.
The OMT Telecom Engineers provide Dedicated Internet Solutions available from our Telecommunication Partners as an alternative to our client’s current ISP.
